Digital solutions are key to ensuring the long-term viability of property operations. They increase efficiency in building processes and help to achieve sustainability goals. SAUTER’s cloud-based digital services open a window into the future of building management.
Ambitious climate goals and the urgent need to cut greenhouse gas emissions pose major challenges for the real estate sector. Digitalisation of building management is an essential tool for meeting legal requirements, reducing CO2 emissions and lowering operating and energy costs. It offers many benefits, including real-time building data, remote system control, automated adjustment processes and smart operating options. SAUTER’s modular, cloud-based digital services offer a proven pathway to future-ready building operation. The SAUTER Customer Portal and SAUTER Remote Management are key components, but what specific advantages do these two services deliver?
Acting as a central platform for SAUTER building automation projects, the SAUTER Customer Portal provides a complete overview of all relevant project data. This cloud-based web application gives asset and service managers access to contract and contact details, as well as consolidated building information including live data on system performance, comfort levels, utilisation, energy consumption and costs. Key status information, performance indicators, maintenance schedules and servicing information are displayed in a personalised, configurable dashboard. Clear data insights combined with automated alarms and suggestions for optimising operation ensure maximum transparency and efficiency. This enables users to identify deviations from normal operation at an early stage and make improvements when needed. Integrated remote access via SAUTER Remote Management allows system access from any location.
Connected to the SAUTER cloud and delivered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solution, the SAUTER Customer Portal offers maximum flexibility. Access is via any web browser, making it independent of hardware, operating system and location. Encrypted communication via HTTPS with two-factor authentication ensures the highest level of security.
SAUTER Remote Management is a valuable component of the digital service portfolio and not only in conjunction with the SAUTER Customer Portal. It enables active, immediate delivery of services related to building automation, energy management, IT infrastructure and software applications. Building operators and facility managers can remotely access and actively control decentralised systems and applications at any time and from any location. This allows faster identification of issues and rapid resolution of faults. Services such as commissioning, maintenance and application upgrades can also be provided conveniently and efficiently from a different location.
As a SAUTER Cloud service, access is via a network connection using a browser and a Windows client. Secure communication is ensured using application protocols such as HTTPS, RDP/VNC and VPN. Extra security is provided by comprehensive user management and two-factor authentication.
SAUTER Remote Management offers exceptional flexibility with subscription models tailored to individual customer needs. The only requirement is to install the Remote Management Connector and a VPN connection to the SAUTER Cloud. The Remote Management Connector acts as a universal gateway, whose interfaces were expanded this year and now include BACnet/IP, BACnet/MSTP, Modbus TCP and RTU. This means that existing or third-party systems can be integrated using standardised communication protocols. More than ever, SAUTER Remote Management serves as a central platform for importing and exporting data from all building automation systems.
• Cost savings through automation:
Automated control of building processes such as heating, lighting and maintenance reduces resource consumption and operating costs.
• Improved energy efficiency:
Intelligent, real-time analyses and automatic adjustments align energy use to actual requirements – reducing consumption and supporting sustainability targets.
• Data-driven decisions:
Smart sensors and software provide precise usage and status information as a solid basis for strategic planning.
• Enhanced appeal:
Features such as smart space utilisation, real-time monitoring and personalised settings improve user comfort, thus increasing the property’s market value.
