Smart buildings for comfort on every level

Building automation involves the intelligent interaction of systems and solutions for precisely controlling and monitoring various building functions such as heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems (HVAC), lighting, security systems and energy management. The purpose of building automation is to increase user comfort, improve energy efficiency and reduce operating costs. Building automation systems use data-based analyses and networked systems to continuously monitor operation, detect setpoint deviations and automatically initiate corrective action. This not only reduces the environmental impact, but also improves the sustainability and economic viability of real estate.

We are your partner for building automation

SAUTER is a partner you can rely on when it comes to designing buildings that are resource-friendly and comfortable on every level. Our tailor-made solutions for building automation enable you to achieve your goals in terms of sustainability, energy efficiency and comfort.

Building automation is at the heart of our work. As a central and binding element, it ensures that all the systems in your building work together seamlessly. It drives innovation, digitalisation and standardisation to deliver the best results for you.

Our intelligent building automation enables you to optimise energy consumption, reduce costs and conserve resources. Thanks to efficient regulation and control, your technical systems always work in harmony and adapt flexibly to the requirements. This not only maximises user comfort, but also minimises the carbon footprint.

Building automation offers you the necessary methods and processes for operational management, monitoring, control and regulation of all technical systems in your building. Whether it’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, shading, security and access control – we have the solutions that you need.

With more than 20 subsidiaries and 300 partners worldwide, we are on hand to help you with everything from planning and installation to operational management, maintenance and support. We use state-of-the-art technologies and innovative solutions to ensure that your building automation is always a step ahead. Put your trust in our many years of experience and our comprehensive expertise in building automation. Together we will find the ideal solution for your individual requirements.

We always consider buildings as a whole

SAUTER uses an open system for building automation. This way, the products can be flexibly used and adapted to the individual requirements of the building. SAUTER’s BACnet compatibility enables open, interoperable building automation. All this is guaranteed without sacrificing security.

Building automation from SAUTER networks the existing systems and optimises interaction at maximum energy efficiency. It automatically determines (e.g. via presence detectors and sensors) the actual requirement for heating, cooling, fresh air, lighting and sunshading in the rooms and provides the right quantity of energy at the right time and in the right place. This type of demand-controlled building automation system enables energy-efficient building management, which prevents energy wastage and leads to a noticeable and rewarding reduction in operating costs – and quickly pays for itself.

As buildings become increasingly networked and automated, including via cloud and IoT technologies, security is also becoming an even more important issue. Building automation goes hand in hand with the Internet of Things and the cloud. Entire networks and systems must be secured. SAUTER specialists are happy to provide helpful recommendations on how users and operators can increase the security levels of their networks and systems.

Thanks to state-of-the-art equipment, SAUTER building automation systems are capable of continuous communication. BACnet is used in all equipment systems and in SAUTER room automation – to allow continuous, standardised communication. The same system is always used to ensure compatibility – from the room controller to the air conditioning unit to the visualisation system.

Users can also access the building automation system from anywhere to set their comfort environments to the level that suits them best. For example, Mobile Building Services can access settings such as heating, cooling or sunshading of the building via an app secured by an individual QR code – without the user having to be on site.

Thanks to the modularity of its integrated building automation, SAUTER offers maximum flexibility with numerous adaptation options. Each building has unique requirements and characteristics. The respective building automation solution can thus be individually adapted to the specific requirements of the building. The building’s users and operators benefit from maximum comfort, and yet with minimum energy consumption.

Modular components complete SAUTER building automation for all-round solutions. Field buses and interfaces for specialised applications:

  • DALI: lighting control
  • Modbus: cooling system
  • KNX: electrical system
  • SMI: sunshading, window blinds
  • M-Bus: meters (heating, electricity, gas, water etc.)
  • Profibus: industry automation
  • OPC: ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning System), hotel booking system, access control, fire protection etc.

Let us take care of your individual building automation requirements to ensure that your property is fit for the future.
