EYY 170: novaLink170, field module 4 AO The EYY170 novaLink170 field module is part of the EY3600 family of systems. As a remote unit in automatic mode, it permits either four 0Â…10 V positioning signals or two 0Â…10 V plus two 0Â…20 mA positioning signals to be issued. The unit has a 'Power' LED. In addition, potentiometers enable the user to control or override the positioning signals manually, so that the field module can also be used as a local manual operating unit. The EYX172 nova106 AO driver card or the nova215 or nova225 EY3600 automation stations are used to activate the field module. The connection from the field module to the driver card or automation station is effected via the novaLink field telegram and permits distances of up to 100 metres between the field module and the driver card The power supply and the communication data are transmitted on the novaLink field telegram. If the power supply is interrupted on the novaLink field telegram, the system changes over to the back-up power supply The emergency back-up power supply comes from either a separate 24 V~ transformer or indirect from the EYZ101 UPS unit. Using an additional signal, a priority function can be activated for each function; this releases a value (set beforehand) between 0 and 10 V with the highest priority. This field module is used, for example, to switch regulating units, such as dampers or motors, from decentralised locations. Technical description
