EYI 280, 287: novaCom, integration of alien systems

The novaCom range is a communication solution for alien systems and is part of the EY3600 family of systems. It enables alien automation systems to be linked to SAUTER's EY3600 building management system. The link is effected using a novaCom communication interface (EYI280 or EYI287), between one and eight novaCom AS memory cards (EYI288) and a novaCom supply and UPS card (EYI103). These cards, together with a rack (EYU109 or EYU108), form a virtual automation station with communication capability. Depending on the system, the data traffic travels via point-to-point connections or via a bus coupler to a bus system. The transfer addresses to the alien system are parameterised; communication, control and time-programme tasks can be programmed with the 504 to 4032 addresses of the virtual automation stations.
